Is Our Beloved Summer A Documentary?

Is the happy ending and positive praise surrounding this kdrama series well-deserved? This is a recap for Our Beloved Summer Episode 16 Finale on Netflix.

So it’s been a long while since this series ended, and I still haven’t written my final review. Since I felt overwhelmingly negative after watching episode 16, I decided to take a week (or two) and collect my thoughts, reanalyze them, and see if I felt differently within time.

Spoiler alert: I don’t have any different feelings from my initial ones.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but I don’t quite understand the blind praise for this series.

I Have Second Lead Syndrome – Our Beloved Summer Ep 13 & 14 Review

After watching Eun Ho and Sol Yi have such natural interactions, I now have a case of second lead syndrome. This is a review for Episode 13 & 14 of Our Beloved Summer on Netflix.

Another slow episode that gave us some hints at a romantic development between Sol Yi and Eun Ho.

To be quite honest, I enjoyed watching them have a conversation over shucking clams more than the ‘romcom’ scenes between Yeun Su and Choi Woong.

Then again, I’m not really a fan of the romantic comedy genre to begin with, so there’s that, too.

Going along with the same thought process I had last week, I still don’t quite think Yeon Su and Choi Woong getting back together is a good thing.

Rumbling, Rumbling, it’s coming

Rumbling, Rumbling 😝

Howdy one and all who have clicked on my Attack on Titan the Final Season Part 2 review!

And since that’s a mouth load to say (let alone type) this will most likely be the last time I use the full title for a while, haha ☺

So before I begin our analysis and recap, I just want to get something out of the way – As many returning readers and those who are familiar with my website will know, I read the manga.

And… I was very angry for a long time over how the series ended.

After spending over 7 months seething at how Isayama ended the series, I decided it was time to take a step back and really re-organize my feelings.

I decided to kill my ego and begin re-watching the series from episode one weeks ago, in order to completely throw out everything I once thought I knew.

I’ve noticed this trend in a lot of us who supported Eren, the Yeagerist, and The (100% full)  Rumbling . Some people in the fandom unfortunately haven’t come around (yet), and I don’t want to be one of those people.

Was I upset? Yes. Am I still upset? It depends on what day you ask me.

Either way, whether part 2 ends with chapter 131, and we get the rest in a movie or not – I want to enjoy how things are now. I’ll be going into this with a mindset that the manga and the anime are two separate timelines, and will treat them as such.

I’m not sure if I will be completely plot-spoiler-free, so this is just a warning to those who are anime-only that may stumble upon this post.
