Okay, before we even talk about Kurama’s death scene – can we acknowledge how trash Sasuke has become?
I mean my gosh, I am actually embarrassed for Sakura’s husband.
It’s bad enough #Rinnegone was trending on twitter earlier. Then someone made this hilarious meme that pointed out how Sasuke lost the arm he used Chidori to try and kill Sakura with, and the Rinnegan he used to try and put her under a genjutsu during the great ninja war.
Sasuke already doesn’t come home. He’s essentially a dead-beat dad to his daughter Sarada, and she’s already developed her sharingan over the emotional trauma Sasuke’s inflicted by not being around.
Sakura is basically a single mom who has to juggle her daughter, housework, and whatever else she does now.
Not only is Sasuke a dead-beat father to their child, he now has a bum eye on top of a missing arm.
In my younger days I was always a SasuSaku shipper…but I really think Sakura lost this one.
I’d have some serious buyer’s remorse, if I was her.

This sure as hell isn’t Peak Sasuke who took on multiple hokage at their summit, and even had a maniacal laugh about it before almost going blind.
This is beggar, dead beat dad nerfed Sasuke who can’t even sense chakra anymore, let alone a small child coming at him carrying a kunai with his all-powerful Rinnegan.
You know, that almost hurt me.
The fact that Sasuke was my favorite character for all the many years I watched Naruto. I obsessed over Naruto Shippuden, waiting alongside Sakura for his scarce appearances and final return – only to witness what Sasuke has now become.
An idiot who can’t even sense chakra, do anything in crucial battle situations, and is basically a glorified transport machine via oculus jutsu.
(I’m sure peak Sasuke would have ate that vanishing Rasengan Borushiki threw his way.)
If you would have told fifteen-year-old me watching the Naruto Shippuuden premiere that the Sasuke Uchiha would turn into utter trash in fourteen years I don’t think I would have believed you.
Wow. Sorry.
This is supposed to be about Kurama, and I ended up ranting about Sasuke.
You’ll have to forgive me; I’ve been holding that in for a while. I only watch Boruto once in a blue moon when I hear something interesting has happened to our OG Team 7, or the rest of the cast.
The last episode I caught was the Naruto ‘Time Slip’ nostalgia arc around episode 128 to 136.
So admittedly, I have no clue what Isshiki Otsutsuki trying to put a karma mark back on Kawaki to use him as a vessel to sacrifice to the Ten Tails in order to get some sort of chakra fruit from the divine tree was all about.
Or why Boruto passed out and Momoshiki resurfaced in his consciousness to try and put another karma mark on Kawaki.
As far as I can remember, the Ten Tails died or something in the Great Ninja War – right?
Just as Momoshiki was defeated in Boruto: Naruto the Movie almost six years ago now in our time.
I’ve heard that the anime is slow and riddled with filler, while the manga story is generally better but honestly…I’m not going to wrack my brain over the details.
At the end of the day, I really don’t care about the carbon copy aliens trying to destroy the ninja world. Or the karma marks which seem like stand-ins to the curse marks Orochimaru was giving out like candy back in the day.
I can’t believe the Otsutsuki alien was so arrogant that he got fooled by a damn shadow clone jutsu by Kawaki…anyway.
I’m sure the Naruto franchise series will most likely still be going on long after we are all dead.
What I did care about however, was Kurama’s death.

I’m not going to say I cried, but the flashback Kurama had of Naruto at various stages of his life was very touching. If they added Sadness and Sorrow to the OST, I might have shed a tear.
I began to think about the series history, and how Kurama murdered Naruto’s parents, and mentally tormented him for a good few years until Naruto ‘conquered him’ in that weird waterfall place and later made friends with him.
My mind then goes straight to how the villager’s treated Naruto like crap, and I’m slightly annoyed that Naruto is risking it all and so willing to die for people who were ungrateful and cursed his existence for over a decade.
I know things change, but…that still bothers me.
Did anyone else chuckle at Naruto thinking about not being able to say goodbye to Himawari and Hinata, but deciding Boruto and Kawaki were fine when he thought he was dying?
I know he has an easier time with his daughter and wife but, it was just funny that those were his ‘dying’ thoughts.
Ah, man.
Either way, Naruto acknowledges in the end that he would not have made it this far without his partner Kurama.
Which is true.
Naruto would have been toast against almost all of his opponents, despite his inherited Senju and Uzumaki abilities. A talk no jutsu can only take you so far in a chakra fight.
Just as Sasuke would not have been a prodigy without his Uchiha oculus prowess – which is completely gone now.
The two strongest men in the ninja world nerfed – for the mysterious stray boy Kawaki and the everchanging genius brat Boruto.
May the manga gods help this series.
But, I’ve rambled on long enough. Tell me your thoughts.

Did you cry during Kurama’s death scene?
Was the unveiling of Naruto’s Baryon Mode cooler in the manga or anime adaptation?
What do you think about the Otsutsuki Clan storyline? Has it gone on long enough?
