Can We Trust King Bosse?  – Ousama Ranking Ep 20 Review

King Bosse turns Ouken into a baseball, and Miranjo outmaneuvers the ass-beating of a lifetime from Queen Sheena. This is a review for Ousama Ranking Ep 20.

Uh…is King Bosse really the mastermind behind this whole farce?

This well-planned out charade that has been years in the making?

I know Despa thinks that Bosse is the mastermind behind his Kingdom’s fall, and it does seem like in his pursuit for power, Bosse turned his back on everyone (as evidenced by Miranjo’s flashbacks) but…I can’t figure out the reason why.

Couple this with Bosse inferring to Despa that he can’t die unless Bojji dies as well (because Bojji is the source of his ‘strength’ and maybe even life force at this point) …I don’t see where Bosse is playing at.

Bosse puts Dorshe in Hiling’s Queen’s Guard many years ago, but then in this episode knocks everyone out before using Daida’s healing abilities to ‘save everyone’.

I don’t quite remember who at the time of writing this, but one of our characters pointed out that King Bosse should have been ranked number one, despite never pursuing it.

Did Bosse never pursue first place because he knew about the shenanigans of the Old Gods based on his time living with Miranjo amongst the Houma folk?

I’m still trying to understand why Bosse feels like he betrayed Miranjo, and why Miranjo thinks Bosse is the only thing she has left in this world. I also guess that the opening credits that feature far-off lands are either old, or new adventures shared between Miranjo and Bosse.

Sigh, always so many questions, and so few answers. ☺

That is the mark of a great show, though, so I can’t be too angry over that.

I’m playing catch-up tonight, so I think I’m going to end it here.

But, tell me your thoughts.

What is Bosse playing at?

Do you think Daida took control of his own body for the healing, or was that all his father Bosse’s spirit?

And…

Do you think Ouken deserves his fate?

I write in my personal time and I haven't published much at all. I don't know if that qualifies me as a writer or not, but I'd like to change that. I have a deep passion for travel, cinema and (mainly) East Asian things, but I plan on writing various things to keep it spicy. Let's prosper together ~ よろしくおねがいします。
