Talamasca: The Secret Order is the latest entry set to premiere within Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe on the AMC Networks.

Talamasca: The Secret Order Official Teaser Trailer

AMC Networks has released an official trailer for the newest crown jewel in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, Talamasca: The Secret Order. The highly anticipated new series stars Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Celine Buckens, with Guest Stars Jason Schwartzman, Eric Bogosian, and Justin Kirk.

The six-episode first season will focus on the secretive society weaved throughout Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles called the Talamasca. The Talamasca is an organization comprised of men and women whose motto proclaims “we watch and we are always there” when witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered across the world are concerned.

The show will air on AMC and AMC+ starting Sunday, October 26th at 9pm ET/PT. Additional episodes will premiere weekly on Sundays.

About Talamasca: The Secret Order

Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order stars actor Nicholas Denton as character Guy Anatole, a prospective law school graduate who is approached by a representative for the secretive agency, the Talamasca.

Stemming from this fateful encounter, Guy learns that the Talamasca has been monitoring him since childhood and he stumbles headlong into a world filled with secret agents and immortal beings who until now, had maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world.

Elizabeth McGovern portrays the seasoned veteran of the Talamasca order, Helen – who is also the leader of its New York Motherhouse. William Fichtner plays Jasper, a mysterious American who has quietly assumed control and influence over the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers plays Olive, an ambitious agent within the organization and Celine Buckens is Doris, a strong-willed woman with an old soul, who resides on a houseboat with a coven of witches. Jason Schwartzman portrays the Vampire Burton, a rakish individual who leads a cloistered life from within a luxurious Upper West Side penthouse.

Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk are set to reprise their respective roles as Daniel Molloy and Talamasca agent Raglan James from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as crossover characters in this new series.

(My own personal speculation: If you’ll remember, Agent Raglan provided Daniel with the original tapes and warned him about Louis in IWTV Season 2. Raglan should also play an important future role if his story is faithfully adapted from The Vampire Chronicles novels concerning his (potential later) interactions with Lestat.)

Anne Rice’s Talamasca is executive produced (and directed by) the Oscar-nominated John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), and Mark Lafferty (The Right Stuff, Halt and Catch Fire) – who also serve as co-showrunners on the series. Award-winning producer Mark Johnson oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, alongside Tom Williams, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
