HBO Max has announced its lineup for New York Comic Con with a focus on the upcoming original series It: Welcome to Derry and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The panels will feature cast and executive producers sharing exclusive first looks at each series with fans.

Beginning on Thursday, October 9th, fans can step inside the chilling world of It: Welcome to Derry with “Face Your Fears,” an immersive horror fan experience set in an oddly familiar yet deeply unsettling 1960s era children’s bedroom where childhood fears become reality.

“There’s nothing like the energy of New York Comic Con,” said Pia Barlow, Executive Vice President, Originals Marketing, HBO Max. “It’s a chance for fans to experience the world of our shows and really feel part of the story. Whether it’s the terrifying dread of ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ or the treacherous world of Westeros in ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,’ we can’t wait for them to see what’s ahead.”

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9 – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12
IT: Welcome to Derry: “Face Your Fears” Horror Fan Experience
Location: Convention Floor, Booth 1207

HBO Max will bring the “Face Your Fears” immersive horror fan experience inspired by “IT: Welcome to Derry” to New York Comic Con. The AI driven activation invites guests into a deceptively idyllic home set in 1960s Derry, Maine, where eerie characters and various interactive elements reveal a series of personalized scares designed to bring their specific childhood fears to life. The experience culminates in a frightening finale featuring the looming threat of Pennywise before returning to reality.

Fans can stay tuned to the @IT_Official social accounts for details on how to RSVP for the “Face Your Fears” horror fan experience. Space will be limited, with reservations available on a first-come, first-served basis. A New York Comic Con badge will be required for entry, and all guests must be 18 or older. 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9 (12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET)
HBO/HBO Max presents “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” – Journey into Westeros with Dunk and Egg Panel
Location: Empire Stage

Step back into Westeros, a century before “Game of Thrones,” with unlikely duo, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Co-creator and executive producer George R.R. Martin, co-creator/showrunner Ira Parker, and stars Peter Claffey (Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall) and Dexter Sol Ansell (Egg) introduce the new HBO Original series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.” The panel will be moderated by Brandon Davis, host of “Phase Hero: A Film & TV Podcast.” The new series will debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2026.

About A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Set in author George R.R. Martin’s expansive Game of Thrones world, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes place a century before the events of the main series. The Targaryen line is still on the Iron Throne, and the living memory of dragons has yet to escape the public. Two unlikely heroes wander Westeros…a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.

Great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends. The HBO original drama series will debut in early 2026.

Join cast and creatives for an exclusive look at never-before-seen footage and a special red band, uncensored version trailer from HBO’s upcoming original series “IT: Welcome to Derry,” from Warner Bros. Television. Panelists include Andy Muschietti (Director, EP), Barbara Muschietti (EP), Jason Fuchs (Co-Showrunner, EP), Brad Caleb Kane (Co-Showrunner, EP), Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider and Kimberly Guerrero. The panel will be moderated by Perri Nemiroff, Senior Host & Producer at Collider.

About It: Welcome to Derry

Based on Stephen King’s It novel, It: Welcome to Derry is an original TV series set in the universe established by King and expanded on by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films It and It Chapter Two. The show is produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television and developed for TV by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs.

Executive Producers on the project include Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (through their Double Dream production company), Jason Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Fuchs wrote the teleplay for the first episode and will serve as co-showrunner on the series alongside Kane. Andy Muschietti will direct multiple episodes of the original series. 

It: Welcome to Derry is set to premiere October 26th on HBO Max.
