Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has released an English-dubbed trailer and English cast information for the long-awaited anime adaptation of the hit manga!
The Race Begins: Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 1st STAGE
Hirohiko Araki’s masterpiece, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has gained immense worldwide popularity since it’s serialization with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1986. The ninth part of the manga series, The JOJOLands, is currently being serialized in Ultra Jump.
For those of you unfamiliar, the epic saga chronicles the bloodline and destiny of the Joestar family through the ages, beginning with the fateful encounter between Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando as youths in the late 1800s. Its one-of-a-kind universe has garnered fervent support across the world with a cumulative circulation of over 120 million copies of the manga sold.
The characters’ unique poses, innovative onomatopoeia, and memorable lines have come to symbolize the series’ originality amongst fans and even those unfamiliar with the show. Its popularity has led to a wide range of adaptations, including anime, musicals, games, and even live-action films.
The latest installment is set in the 19th century and follows the first-ever cross-continental horse race across North America. Steel Ball Run’s protagonist Johnny Joestar is a former genius jockey who became a paraplegic. Johnny forms an alliance with the mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli, and the two embark on a grueling race across the continent together.
STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Synopsis:
“It’s 1890, in America, the Steel Ball Run — the first horse racing championship across the North American continent — was about to begin. Spanning around 4,000 miles, the race offered 50 million dollars as the winning prize. Johnny Joestar, once being hailed as a genius jockey, is now paralyzed and lost in despair.
He finds hope in the mysterious phenomena caused by Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw aiming to win the race, and determines to participate in the Steel Ball Run Race. Each having their own goal in mind, the two form an alliance and set foot upon the grueling adventure and race.”

The English Cast includes: Daman Mills as Johnny Joestar, Kaiji Tang as Gyro Zeppeli, Damien Haas as Diego Brando, Frankie Kevich as Lucy Steel, Jamieson Price as Steven Steel, Alejandro Antonio Ruiz as Sand Man, and Cedric Williams as Pocoloco.
The new anime series, STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 1st STAGE (1 episode: 47 mins), will premiere on Netflix on March 19th, 2026. Watch the official trailer.
