Site Update for Spring 2020 (Anime Reviews, Upcoming Content, Patreon)

No new weekly seasonal anime reviews until fall of this year (2020). Also, In Asian Spaces is now on Patreon!

Hey Everyone! ☺

So, I actually meant to make this little update a few days ago. But, I’ve been tired. Extremely so, and I’m not sure why.

I still don’t feel too fully rested yet, but it’s time to keep going. I’ve stalled long enough.

Sometimes, it’s actually quite nerve-wracking to start new things. Each time I go to write a new blog post, or start doing research for a new series I’d like to talk about, I start with the self-doubt. Thankfully however, this small website is attracting a fantastic community, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am grateful to be able to speak so freely about the strangest of topics on here, and to have people read and even support it. For that, I am truly lucky to have all of you readers. Thank you again for your continued support! ☺

The posts are about to get even weirder, so I hope you are all up for some fun.

Now, to the purpose of this update.

So, I will not be covering any ongoing anime for the spring and summer season of 2020. I will still be talking about anime here and there, but there will be no weekly reviews of those series. There’s nothing wrong with the lineup airing in those seasons (I’ll even be watching a few while they air), I’m just not that interested in reviewing anything premiering, or their sequels.

In the fall, I plan on reviewing Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 & Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai (Season 3).

I am tempted to review The Promised Neverland Season 2, but as I didn’t review the first one on the site I may not.

As far as Kdrama goes on the blog, Itaewon Class really was an unexpected blast to review and watch. The show completely came out of nowhere and was one of the best drama I’ve seen in a while. A total dark horse of a kdrama!

It was great for the website, as well.

Netflix has really been killing it with their choices in licensing.

There’s a new Lee Min-ho drama coming out on April 17th, called ‘The King: Eternal Monarch. I am slightly tempted to at least write a ‘first impressions’ review of the first two episodes, as I (usually) watch anything by that actor. Also, have I mentioned that I’m a sucker for period dramas? And time travel? And time-traveling period dramas?

Like Outlander, Signal, Rooftop Prince, this really great kdrama that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of, Attack on Titan

For the next few months until the fall, I will be focusing on projects I’ve wanted to work on during these months of weekly reviews.

Also, In Asian Spaces is now on Patreon! I’m still working on the reward tiers and better things to offer, but for now if you enjoy the content on this website why not consider supporting and becoming a Patron today?

Well, I think that’s it for now. An Attack on Titan manga chapter 128 review will be coming up shortly. I’m going to begin reading the ch now.

Thank you for all of your support, and talk to all of you again soon! ☺

I write in my personal time and I haven't published much at all. I don't know if that qualifies me as a writer or not, but I'd like to change that. I have a deep passion for travel, cinema and (mainly) East Asian things, but I plan on writing various things to keep it spicy. Let's prosper together ~ よろしくおねがいします。
