Wow, life sure is coming at Domas fast, huh?
Episode Five
Pretty sure Hokuro cut off the hand Domas pushed Bojji with, too.

Damn. I hope Hokuro isn’t dead, but he most likely is. At least he gave his all during a fight Hokuro knew he had no chance of winning. I can really respect that – requiescat in pace if he has indeed passed on.
Who Cursed Bojji?
I’m kind of glad we got the reveal that Bojji is a giant, but has been cursed.
It seems the curse on Bojji has taken away his true form, ability to speak, and has left him small, deaf, and unable to wield any weapons due to lack of physical strength.
This leads more evidence to the theory that King Bosse made some sort of demonic pact a la Dororo style that affected his firstborn. Maybe Bojji would get his power back once he became king and completed that convoluted ritual Daida is currently undertaking.
Also – why did the king of the underworld allude to Kage having an altered form? Wasn’t he shown as a shadow during his childhood/backstory flashback? Does Kage have some sort of untapped form we have yet to see?
I’m trying to find words for the shitshow that Daida is in.

I’m not sure if those goons will jump him, but it seems like the whole ritual for power thing is not a one-off thing with Bosse like I initially thought. Seems to be an institution – centuries-old practices and clandestine affairs that were conducted underneath the castle.
I guess Apeas earned the rank of spearman to the king after completing these trials – namely slaying the griffin. Which coincidentally, is on the sigil of the king’s coat of arms.
I wonder why Queen Hiling is always staring at the sigil now…does she know something more than is being let on?
Just thinking – we saw the creepy magic mirror girl (or entity?) presiding over Apeas’ trial by combat, and then when he was making his way into the inner sanctum the camera panned over a girl frozen in ice.
Is this the magic mirror entity?

Like Bosse, their body was frozen after death for preservation?
But for some reason, her spirit entered the mirror?
Since mirrors are said to be portals, it’s believable…just don’t know how plausible.
I’m about to wrap this one up and move on to the next one, but tell me your thoughts.
Mainly, what do you think about King Bosse’s rebirth into a phoenix?
Aside from the creature’s symbolism, do you think the magic mirror was giving Daida an ‘elixir of life’ or ‘immortality’ to link the spirits’ essence to the bloodline for another generation?
After all, the mirror said the elixir would only work on one from Bosse’s bloodline.
Tell me your thoughts, and let’s keep this show rolling.
Episode Six
Alright, so the lady in the magic mirror has been revealed to be ‘Miranjo’, and apparently – Apeas owes a great debt to her. And by debt, I mean he seems terrified of her and at the same time may respect Miranjo in a crazy way.
Poor Daida.

The king gets on my nerves, but it was pretty obvious where this was leading the moment Daida tried to leave and was almost jumped by the guards. Apeas just exacerbated the situation even further.
So…I wonder who they intend to bring back with the phoenix’s Jewel of Resurrection?
It can’t be King Bosse, right?
I want to say maybe Miranjo is going to use the elixir to suppress Daida’s will and overtake his body, or something like that but…I really have no clue. I’m enjoying how much theorizing and speculation each episode leaves us with.
Just to quickly touch base with Bojji’s storyline, Kage is the ultimate hypeman.
It’s refreshing to see someone so genuinely loyal to Bojji in his corner.
Kage misremembering which king he needed to see in the underworld was hilarious, as well. I wonder if Despa can actually help Bojji through knowledge? Like maybe, there is a way to remove the curse?
But, tell me your thoughts.

Why do you think Desha couldn’t help Bojji?
Did Daida make a mistake?
What do you think Miranjo’s ultimate goal is?
