Wow, there is so much to unpack from this recent episode.
Let’s start with Daida and Queen Hiling –
So, I’m wondering if there is a special reason Bosse sought her out.
With the first queen, Bosse courted her because of her strength. The union of two very strong giants produced Bojji – who despite being cursed is still the most powerful person in their world.
(So powerful, Daida is even having flashbacks of his strength from the ‘mirror’ dream.)
Queen Hiling seems to have, well – ‘healing’ abilities – as that’s literally her name in Japanese.
But, there has to be something else to her. Other than the inner strength, which she seems to have plenty of. Although – she was getting on Dorshe quite a bit about his stamina when Hiling seems to run out quite frequently.
I wonder what other abilities she has up her sleeve?

Maybe something related to tapping into other dimensions?
Then we have Lady Miranjo, and Bosse in Daida’s body seemingly testing her capabilities.
It makes a bit more sense now why Bosse instructed Domas and Hokuro to destroy the path to the underworld beneath the castle – as that is how Miranjo ‘lives’ and sustains her being.
So Bosse definitely doesn’t like her, and is either playing Miranjo, or used her to get what he wants and now can’t get rid of her.
It’s a very dangerous game he’s playing. But Bosse seemed to be prepared for all of this – even before Daida was even thought of.
Maybe Bosse placed Dorshe with Hiling because as stated, Dorshe is ‘emotional’ and has grown to care about both the Queen and Prince Bojji. Whereas ‘Apeas’ has been described as someone who can suppress his emotions to complete any task – much like Domas.
Going on this logic, I think Domas actually would have made a great Spear to the King like Daida wanted – he simply lacked loyalty. Which ultimately…was his downfall.
I wonder what happened to Miranjo’s actual body?

Did she have to give it up in a ritual to help Bosse? Was that what the pact was about – Miranjo helps him become King and in exchange, he helps her regain her body? Or “make her wish come true” – whatever that means.
Still no update on Bojji’s training in the underworld, but judging by Bosse’s instruction to Dorshe on leaving the kingdom with Hiling – he should be making an appearance soon.
What Happened to the Real Daida?
After completing the ritual orchestrated by Miranjo and drinking the resurrection elixir, it seems Daida is trapped within the confines of his own heart. All while his father King Bosse possesses his physical body.
His mother, Queen Hiling, is the only one who can hear his voice from within the trapped realm.
I really liked that nice touch at the end of the episode where Daida is freaking out because he can’t see, can’t hear, and is surrounded by darkness and anxiety – and immediately empathizes with Bojji in a way he never had before.
I am so excited for what is to come regarding this series.
But, tell me your thoughts –
What do you think King Bosse’s master plan is?
Are you surprised Miranjo can only possess things for a short amount of time?
Why was Miranjo taking Daida’s reflection in the magic mirror? Was it to comfort him – or is something more sinister at hand?
