Wow, this episode was wild! So, Klein is praying to the Evernight Goddess for protection and the banishment of evil, while he has Miss Justice and The Hanged Man of the Tarot Club worshipping and praying to him like some sort of Eldritch deity.
Magic is wild.
Lord of the Mysteries Episode 4 Review
Okay, so some of the mysteries surrounding the titular Lord are beginning to unravel.

The Aurora Order, a group of seemingly depraved mad men, are responsible for the Antigonus Family Notebook resurfacing and unintentionally landing in The Evernight Nighthawk Order’s hands. Hannas Vincent was preparing “sacrificial lambs” in order to access the spiritual acumen of the Antigonus notebook, as their order is unable to access it nor understand its contents.
I guess they conducted surveillance to figure out who would have the potential to be influenced by the book, and that happened to be the original Klein and his friends – which is why they all said (or Klein, at least) that they “will die” once they realized the nefarious plot a tad too late to counteract it and survive.
During this exact moment, either The True Creator or some other entity of the four corners within our realm heard Zhou’s Luck Enhancement Ritual and answered in-kind with the transmigration of Zhou to Klein.

It really could have been The True Creator, since the invisible feather that possessed Dunn and gave him that visual awakening of its splendor at the end of the episode has been at other crime scenes.
At the same time, it could have been The Evernight Goddess and her divinity itself that pulled Zhou into that strange world. Since Klein ended up studying the “Chinese” equivalent in their world at university that enabled Zhou to read Emperor Roselle’s diary, it would be a perfect fit for “Klein” to unravel mysteries and complete whatever task the goddess desired.
Or it could have been a completely different entity altogether pulling the strings, and just accentuating The True Creator’s madness and The Evernight Nighthawk Goddess’ divinity to camouflage its true goal or intentions.
The Aurora Order Plot
Either way, I’m really glad the story decided to throw us a bone and clue us in about why Zhou ended up as Klein Moretti.
Speaking of which – is Elizabeth some sort of latent psychic – or pre-Beyonder ability user that she could sense Klein’s Seer abilities before even formally meeting him?

Elizabeth could see the demonic entity Hannas was employing and then puppeteering in order to do his dirty work by getting rid of Klein. I don’t understand why she didn’t stop Selena and Melissa from playing with the mirror when Selena obviously didn’t know what she was doing, and was beginning to become visibly unstable after using it.
Did Selena think it was okay because Hannas gave it to her? And because Hannas had never done anything to hurt Selena before?
Despite now creating a 2-way mirror utilizing runic magic to send a contracted demon to possess Selena just so that Hannas could kill Klein but somehow still fail after sacrificing his arm and not learning anything new about the Antigonus Family Notebook before being murdered by his own order for insolence?

Miscellaneous Ritual Magic
Before I wrap up this review, I just wanted to mention that it’s cool that just like in real witchcraft and pagan rituals, Old Neil taught Klein how to erect a magical barrier (or “Wall of Spirituality”) to protect the spell from outside forces tampering with it.

Old Neil also told Klein not to speak with anything else but the known God or Goddess he was invoking. The importance of this advice was directly illustrated with Hannas giving Selena an incantation to invoke The True Creator of The Aurora Order for the mirror, while during the magic mirror divination class he gave the participants The Evernight Goddess incantation.
Hannas took advantage of Selena’s ignorance and eagerness to learn magic and that’s how he got her to use the incantation for his runic magic spell to create a spiritual doorway into her room despite Klein’s barrier cloaking the outside of the home. We can even see the moment the entity enters one of the doors in the home via the mirror’s power.
The Evernight Goddess saved Selena per Klein’s petition because she was an unwilling participant tricked into possession by a rogue (but contracted) entity.

But, tell me your thoughts: What do you think of Crowley’s “Do what thou wilt” being included in an uncorrupted form in The Mystery Prayer?
