Wow, this episode was pretty interesting! So we got introduced to the Demoness Sect – who worships the Mother of Chaos and is attempting a massive ritual to perpetuate evil throughout Tingen for unknown reasons.
Lord of the Mysteries Episode 5 Review

Before I go more into that, we did get a little backstory on Klein and his time in this world in between the lull in the Demoness Sect case – the Holy Cathedral hired Klein full time, and he had some combat training offscreen. Klein also went with Old Neil to the underground market to purchase half-finished amulets for Melissa and Benson’s protection.
Through the current case, we also learn that the original Klein’s mother died due to destitution, and Benson is the one who kept the family afloat. I guess based on those memories, this is why “Klein” wanted to get the Moretti siblings set up in a better home despite technically owing them nothing due to the transmigration.
Also, the gods seem to really have it out for Dunn.

First, The True Creator seems to have done something to his spirituality so that he is not functioning 100%. Now, the Demoness Goddess seems to have attempted to finish him (and Leonard) off during the fight with her acolyte Tris – now inverted as Trissy.
Which leads me back to my main point this review – is the Demoness the Sect worships the Dragoness Tiamat? She is supposed to be within the waters of khaos – or are they worshipping khaos itself – as the Qadistu did in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance?

According to biblical lore, the earth and the heavens were created out of khaos – or rather, the waters of khaos. In these waters, Tiamat and her consort Abzu (or Apsu) live together in a balanced harmony similar to a taijitsu, (or like Tui and La from Avatar: the Last Airbender) embodying both principles of masculine and feminine, light and dark in perfect harmony.
In this context, Tiamat would be the daughter of khaos – and would align with what’s happening in the Demoness Sect. Their current mission seems to utilize their assassin sequence pathways to sow discord and strife within the already discontented and those malaise with troubles.

So, Tris – now Trissy, was going around tapping those in severe poverty and with discontented hearts to actualize her spell for life usurpation – or the shortening of lifespans of those already marked for death.
Then, to add insult to injury, the malcontented and restless spirits were being forcibly employed against their will at the mansion in service to Trissy – although judging by their hostility, if given the chance they probably would have murdered her.

Just like in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, the Demoness Sect is gathering “magatsuhi” or life force stolen through the idol rituals.
I mean just thinking, the Demoness they serve could also be Lilith – the first demon.
Lilith was 1 of 3 prospective wives created for Adam, although she rejected him and ran away. (There was also another Adam, Adam Kadmon who helped Maruki in Persona 5: Royal, but we’ll talk about that another day ☺︎) Angels were sent to bring Lilith back to the garden, but ultimately, she was sought out by Samael (Lucifer) who corrupted her nature to spite god – creating the first demon in existence.
Along with Naamah and a few others, the Lilim are a bunch of succubi who prey on male men and devour newborn babies and drink their blood. While the show hasn’t mentioned all of this, I think within the context of the episode the Demoness that sect serves might be (based on) one of the entities I mentioned above.
I’d like to see if the name of the deity they serve is revealed, so I am going to continue on to the next episode.

But, tell me your thoughts: what do you think the Demoness Sect is planning in Tingen?
Why is a rouge entity trying to draw Klein to the Horancis region in pursuit of the Antigonus family and their survivors?
