Alright…this has got to be the run.
We got the random cherry blossom event with Emilia, Roswaal said something cryptic before flying off into the distance…
This has got to be it, right?
Wow, each episode I watch of this series feels like a journey.
I was worried about Subaru’s mental state at the beginning of this episode, but apparently a lap cushion changes everything! Seriously though…the poor guy really cried himself to sleep on (essentially) a stranger’s lap.
That’s really sad in itself.
We got some new vocabulary, though!
So apparently Subaru is a magic user! Or at least, he can unlock his mana to utilize shadow magic. Which…looked surprisingly like that weird dimension The Witch appeared in.
I wonder if there’s a tie in somewhere to those two events…there probably is.
Hopefully given enough time, Subaru can master Shamak to get him out of tough situations… Like the current pickle he’s in, surrounded by those mabeast.
Also, Rem’s a demon! Who would have thunk it? Haha.
Ah, I don’t really know what else to say.
Is Emilia really Satella?
I really feel like Emilia is Satella, or a past version of her.
Why you may ask?
Well, Subaru acknowledges the witch scent on him to Rem, and Beatrice in this episode. Then, Beako went on her little tangent about the witch Satella destroying half the world 400 years ago…because she had an insatiable hunger and desire to be loved.
Emilia is a (somewhat) lonely girl who seems to have a desire to be loved. Emilia is also a silver-haired (half) elf, like the witch. But that’s been brought up a million times in these arguments, I know.
What really sold me on this was what Beatrice said about the witch.
When describing her tirade, she made it seem like Satella was inferred to be a spirit arts user. And, we know that is Emilia’s specialty. I mean – where else would Satella get that much energy to destroy half of the known world from?
I don’t know though; I’m just speculating at this point.
Anyway, tell me your thoughts.
Do you think Subaru won Rem and Ram over through his kindness?
Why did Emilia lie about her name when she first met Subaru?
And…where have Reinhard and Felt gone? Haha.
