Stand Firm: A Light in the Shadows is an official trailer I saw nearly a month ago when it premiered on YouTube that completely captivated me.
Spiritual Warfare is Real, You Know
If you have been following me for quite some time, you will know that I’ve been having quite the time with strange events surrounding my life. My house burned down in March, my mom almost died in the fire, and there has been a lot of chaos and spiritual strife and spiritual warfare by (unseen) spirits, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in high places trying its best to snuff out my life.
You know, it’s funny in a way, I first saw this trailer August 7th and 3 days later an awful chain of events happened that displaced me yet again from the temporary home my mother and I were staying in, and I am just now able to sit back down somewhere stable, relax a little bit, and attempt to catch up on the backlog of press releases, anime episodes, Anime NYC coverage, and old writings recovered from the fire that I’ve been trying to upload, since then.

This trailer has been on my mind since yesterday, since I’ve been going through my YouTube playlist saves and emails trying to rediscover and write about all of the interesting things I’ve seen, been sent, and come across during what seems like divine timing over the past few weeks and months.
Spiritual warfare is real.

There is a growing disclosure surrounding demons, angels, avenging angels, interdimensional beings (known as aliens), parallel universes, time travel, purgatory, and other dimensions and earthly realms in popular media as of late. It comes in waves of public disclosure disguised as entertainment and other media.
The biggest occult disclosure surrounding secret societies and (hidden) biblical lore that has gained an insane amount of popularity in the Western World is the Chinese manhua, donghua, and light novel Lord of Mysteries.
There are YouTubers, bloggers (like me), podcasters, and publications who will mention and cover the core themes and real-world allegories found in these ‘fictional’ works to the public in order to increase awareness of the spiritual powers and principalities currently re-entering our realm as the universal shift in consciousness increases and changes our world for the better.
I believe Lamb Light Studio’s Christian anime production Stand Firm: A Light in the Shadows is one such work trying to spread light and bring awareness to the incoming increase of spiritual warfare in our realm.

The biblically-inspired series sets out to explore “spiritual battles, hope, and perseverance” through the unique stylistic medium of an anime lens. What I like about this project, as well, is that it doesn’t “demonize” Japanese anime or the fact that it (more often than not) deals with stories and themes from the bible.
Ephesians 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Blue Exorcist is one anime that comes to mind, with the main characters of Satan, and his half-human/half-demon spawn the Okumura twins Rin and Yukio. The demon lord and Prince of Hell Mephisto (Mephistopheles, messenger of Lucifer) is another main character who seals Rin’s inherited demonic powers to protect him (and the human realm) from ruin.
(Because believe it or not, even demons and damned souls have rules they must follow and abide by. They cannot do whatever they want or things without expressed permission from The Most High god– lest they suffer the consequences and be punished for it.)
The Korean webtoon Solo Leveling that turned into a poplar anime to reach a bigger audience tells of the War in Heaven and the hosts of spiritual warriors for the final fight that shows like Supernatural also spoke about.
Even one of my favorite anime and manga series, Attack on Titan, uses iconography of St. George/St. Michael slaying the dragon (Archangel Michael vs his brother Samael “Lucifer”) for Helos the Marleyan hero vs the titans (Nephilim stand-ins).
The biblical (and historical) story of Gog and Magog is a stand-in for the Paradis ethnic bloodline, and Zeke Yeager is a stand-in for the Prophet Ezekiel and The Valley of Dry Bones, amongst other biblical parallels still being discovered to this day.
The “Scripture-inspired storytelling” of Stand Firm: A Light in the Shadows is important in today’s world. To be a light in these dark times and to uncover what lurks within the darkness is paramount right now in its importance.
