South Park Season 29 Premiere Breakdown: Rebranded as ‘South America’
After securing its sixth Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, Comedy Central’s flagship series returns for Season 29 on September 16th with a satirical rebrand titled ‘South America’. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone kick off the new season with “South American Biker Gangs,” an episode tackling the e-bike craze as Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny take over the neighborhood streets.
Fans can catch new episodes bi-weekly on Comedy Central, with next-day streaming available on Paramount+.

Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle return for South Park Season 29 (renamed as ‘South America’) on September 16th with “South American Biker Gangs”: When e-bikes arrive in South America, the boys take over the streets, and the parents of South America can hardly recognize South America.

Three Decades of Accolades: Emmy Wins & Cable Ratings Record
The iconic animated show continues to be celebrated three decades after its debut, winning its sixth Primetime Emmy for “Outstanding Animated Program” in 2026.
South Park was included in the 2026 Television Academy Honors as their first-ever animated honoree, as the Producers Guild Awards (PGA) first animated show to be included in Best Episodic Comedy, and has also received awards and accolades from the American Film Institute (AFI), the Peabody Awards, and the Critics Choice Association (CCA).
Additionally, South Park ranked as the # 1 show on cable in 2025 among P18-49, including the return of Season 27 delivering the best average P18-49 share in 27 years and the most watched season in six years. Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. Christopher Brion is the Creative Director of South Park Digital Studios.
South Park Season 29 Schedule & Paramount+ Streaming Guide
New episodes of the Emmy Award-winning series will be available to stream on Paramount+ and On Demand with your TV Provider post-premiere. Additional episodes will premiere Wednesdays on September 30th, October 14th, October 28th, November 11th, and November 25th at 10 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central and the next day on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
