Real Magic in – Delicious in Dungeon Ep 5 Review

Kabru’s adventurer party is introduced. Laios, Marcille, and Chilchuck learn how to exorcise spirits from Senshi.

I love how the show hyped up Kabru and his party as if they had main character energy for the entire first half of the episode, only for Laios’ party to come across them slumped, and surrounded by ghosts and cursed gold in the dungeon.

Senshi Loves Golem Gardening – Delicious in Dungeon Ep 4 Review

Orcs rob Laios and crew while trying to barter Senshi’s fresh vegetables. After being offered bread, the Orcs share the location of the Red Dragon.

I don’t know why I didn’t realize that all of the races in this world wouldn’t necessarily get along, and how accurate that is in a historical fantasy context. Eat Your Enemies – Delicious in Dungeon Ep 3 Review

Ever since his first defeat to a living armor monster, adventurer Laios has fantasized about eating one. What on earth has this anime become?

Casual cannibalism allusions aside, I take great comfort in the fact that the living armor Laios has fantasized about eating is in fact, just a mollusk.

(Albeit, a very fleshy and human-like one.)

Mandrakes and Basilisks – Delicious in Dungeon Ep 2 Review

Senshi bends trap rooms to his will to cook a delicious monster dinner, much to the chagrin of Chilchuck. Marcille struggles to harvest mandrakes in the dungeon.

I really enjoyed episode 2’s focus on the new dynamics in the group now that Senshi was added, and how both Marcille and Chilchuck come to terms with this in their own ways.

The Frugal Adventurers – Delicious in Dungeon Ep 1 Review

The Red Dragon might’ve eaten his little sister, so now Laios and his adventuring party will eat their way through monster-ridden dungeons to find her body.

Call me a freak, but I’m absolutely here for adventurers being frugal and eating their way through monster-filled dungeons. It saved a ton of resources and allowed them to be creative given their restrictive financial situation. What did you think of Delicious in Dungeon Episode 1?

Is it too weird of a premise for you?
